I look forward to being able to arrange another visit in the none-too-distant future.
Pictures to come.
They’ll be teaching this weekend, May 23-24, for their first visit here.
Greg O’Connor Sensei is an internationally known Aikido teacher and author as well as one of the first full-time professional Aikido teachers in the U.S., devoting all his efforts to the instruction and advancement of Aikido. Daniel Lance Sensei is a wonderful teacher and a terrific person. Off the mat, he uses aikido principles to teach and rehabilitate rebellious, violent teenagers and guide them away from a life of crime and delinquency.
These senseis are devoting their extraordinary skills to advance aikido and make the world a better place. Don’t miss them!
Jane Hill, Gabriel Cuppet, Joe Simms and I went to Doran Sensei’s seminar at Aikido of Ashland this last weekend. (Aikido of Ashland is Michael Friedl Sensei’s dojo.)
What a great time we all had. Not only did we get to train with wonderful friends and make new friends, the training was fantastic. We worked on important principles; in particular, we worked on maintaining a safe and effective distance, posture and taking balance. Sunday morning’s practice was particularly energetic and fun.
I can’t wait to share what I learned with everyone.
Thank you, Jamie Zimron Sensei for the great seminar last night!
The seminar was a fundraiser for Aiki Extensions and it went wonderful. Everyone had a great time. Since I had laryngitis during the class, I didn’t train. I just took pictures and ran the video camera. So, we have scads of photos. I’ll be posting them as I get a chance.
I’ve uploaded another 10 photos to our Facebook photo album for Linda Holiday Sensei’s seminar. Now, we’ve got 50 photos uploaded.
Please take a look.
